On the 13th May 2013 would have marked our gorgeous Grandmother’s 100th Birthday. To celebrate her wonderful life our family held an afternoon tea on Mothers Day to celebrate Nan and all Mother’s.
My sister designed gorgeous tea towels with Nan’s signature (handwritten) recipe for Coconut Ice which were handed to guests as they left – it was a very special touch.
My uncle is incredibly talented and can make anything you desire – he whipped up the most amazing vintage plates and brass cake stands – much nicer than anything you can buy in shops.
We visited the Flemington Flower Markets once again for the arrangements!
Nothing gets me more excited than hosting dinner parties at my place (diamonds and heels excluded!) I love that I have the freedom to do things my way…
Easter this year we hosted our family lunch at our apartment in Double Bay. It was my first chance to use my Waterford Crystal coloured Lismore wine glasses, I also enlisted my sisters help in blowing and decorating eggs to look like my favourite Louboutin crystal heels (do you know the ones?).
We also pulled out the trusty champagne sabre which always creates a sense of occasion (although when doesn’t champagne???).
Entree – Luke Mangan Prawn and avocado stacks
Main – 12 hour slow cooked lamb, crunchy potatoes, iceberg and asiago salad, beans and almonds
Dessert – Blueberry and Italian Meringue Tart
The TV is not on – It is family pictures playing in the background!
Last year my sister and I had the pleasure of doing the flowers for our gorgeous friends wedding.
The wedding was an intimate gathering of their nearest and dearest with a beautiful set up for drinking, dining and dancing outside. To keep with the rustic charm, bottles, jars and vintage vases were used to line the table with an array of white, pink and green flowers.
Here are some more snapshots from the beautiful wedding!
